As announced in my email yesterday, SourceAmerica worked with NBC News on a Flag Day story, which aired last night following a schedule change.
SourceAmerica is pleased to have a positive, compelling news story to share about our nonprofit community and the people in it. The piece featured Aaron Alexander, an employee of North Bay Industries.
One of 12 adopted children – many with disabilities like himself, Aaron beams when he speaks of his work. He was the nonprofit’s self-advocate for the Grassroots Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C. He met with his representatives and discussed employment issues affecting people with disabilities.
